Heart Attack Time
I went out for lunch with Jem today, and on my way out I discussed rental payments with J. When I returned an hour and a half later, J informed me that Juno was skulking under the ATV in the carport. The little brat has escaped – probably while J and I were talking cheques vs. cash, and during a small window where the basement door was open and unattended.
Of course I panicked! An indoor kitteh, un-tattooed, shots not up to date, no collar with my phone number on it – it’s a potential nightmare! By the time I found her, she was no longer under the ATV – she was sitting on top of J’s car looking belligerently down at me like a rebellious toddler. I called to her gently and as soon as I began approaching the car, she jumped down and went back under the ATV.
J was confident Juno would tire of her little game and come back in on her own, so instead of standing over the ATV yelling at the stupid cat and intimidating her, I got out a deck chair and parked myself beside the car, with a clear view of the ATV and the basement door, but out of Juno’s sight. Soon thereafter, she wandered out, and for a frightening moment I thought she was going to explore the back yard, but she turned towards the door, and as soon as she did so, I scared her through it and slammed it behind me. I then lectured her soundly and she looked at me innocently enough and now she’s sound asleep at my feet.
The picture above is of Juno in my box of photos on top of my new craft table. This is the extent of her explorations I’m willing to oblige her! I have enough G-D boxes around here, but obviously the call of the outdoors is too much!
cute cat
The little scamper! Oh, Juno, you naughty girl…
Nervewracking it sounds like it half scared you and I agree…a nightmare! I love the look of your craft table what projects do you have…looks wonderful!>>And cat looks so funny and cute in the box…she has no idea how funny she is I bet!
Juno’s gorgeous but mischevious. I bet you had a heart attack. Have had nightmares myself about that kind of thing (literally).
