Stuff
It’s a long weekend in Canada and I can say that I’ve been quite productive. I’ve been on a bit of a baking binge, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing apart from the fact that it’s not good for my waistline. I did laundry and some cleaning.
I can’t seem to shake this horrible fatigue, however, no matter how much rest I get or how well I sleep. My plan this weekend was to go over to my community garden plot and plant a few things now that the hoop houses have been up for over a week. But I simply do not have the energy. I really need groceries, but it’s going to take all the energy I have today to get dressed and hike down to LOGS to get gouged for a few basic items. However, I have not left the house all weekend, so I should go.
My GP appointment is tomorrow and I have three things on my list. One of the items is a plan of attack for my shoulder. I have supraspinitus tendonitis, which is tendonitis of one of my rotator cuff tendons. I have had 5 physio appointments and have been very diligent with the physio’s treatment plan, which involved a whole bunch of exercises, a rubbing thing I had to do, and icing. After these 5 appointments – at $25 each – it’s not improving, and the physio suggested I talk to the doc about a cortisone injection or some other hard core anti-inflammatories. Great! I just want this gone because I seriously cannot do ANYTHING – vacuuming, making muffins at work, folding laundry, running at the gym, etc. – without pain.
Another thing on my list is getting some kind of referral in the works to either an endocrinologist or to BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre about this PMDD issue. I simply cannot live like this much longer. I need to do something about it. Endocrinologists are not easily come by around here, and I was told I’d need to go to either Vancouver or Calgary to see one (possibly Kelowna, but that is not confirmed) and that the wait list would be very long. I don’t care. I need to get the ball rolling on this because after last week, I’ve had enough of this shit.
Two weeks today until I go to the coast for a week! Woo-hoo! I’m so glad I have something pleasant planned on the horizon!

You should get some bloodwork done WC, I thought my fatigue was related to my depression but turned out I am anaemic. Here I was berating myself for being fat, lazy and unmotivated LOL. Hope you get some relief from the GP anyway.
I just had blood work done in March and it’s all OK.
I do hope you start getting your energy back soon. I am very excited for your trip to the coast. Take loads of pictures!
Can sympathize with your shoulder pain. I tore my rotator cuff a few years back and its never healed fully. These days I tend to have more neck problems (from my car accident), so I know exactly how it feels to not be able to do simple tasks.
It’s nice to have something planned for the coming weeks though – hope we’re able to catch up while you’re here!
