Two Sleeps!
Getting excited over here! My plane leaves at 9:20am Tuesday morning, from the Castlegar Airport, otherwise known as Cancelgar. I hope there are no cancellations that morning! From there I go to Vancouver, where I have a 2-hour layover, and then I fly to Toronto. I have 50 minutes there before my flight leaves for Halifax. Looks like I’ll just miss Hurricane Irene – thank God!
Now on to packing. From family reports, the summer in the Maritimes has been terrible: cold, cold, and cold. I’m not sure what to pack. Both my mom & my SIL told me to bring a mixture of summer and fall clothing. So I’ll bring a pair of capri pants, some jeans, and some short sleeved and long sleeved shirts. Not sure about a fleece at this point (Mom said yes, SIL said not to bother) but one thing is for sure, I’m bringing a waterproof jacket and my umbrella.
But what footwear shall I bring??? That is the big question. I am for sure bringing my running shoes, and I’m for sure bringing the Ass-kicking Boots. I’ll skip the Guilt Boots, but I think I will take the new Jambus I just got and perhaps my Birks. That’ll have to be enough. I’m only allowed one checked bag.
Tomorrow I have a bunch of administrative things to do: banking, getting prescriptions filled, paying rent, etc. Juno is being taken care of by my former roommate, J, so I need to stock up on some treats & canned cat food.
Lots to do! But soooooooooooooooo looking forward to getting out of here!
I’m always a total wreck when I’m packing. Have fun!
It’s great to see you all excited about this trip. I am looking forward for the Wandering Coyote to report on the good views, cool vibes and great food of the Maritimes. Bon Voyage.
