PEI
The Prince Edward Island leg of my trip began yesterday when my mom and I hit the road from Wolfville for the island in the early afternoon, after visiting a local fruit & veg stand in Wolfville for veggies and apples (a special kind called Gravenstein). We stopped at Masstown Market and had lunch, which for me included chowder #3 of the trip (and it ranks #3 in my chowder standings) and a lobster roll, my second of the trip (it pushes the lobster roll I had at Hall’s Harbour into #2 position; this one had a way better bun and bigger chunks of lobster).
My mom has a great place and is located 2km walking distance from downtown Charlottetown. I’m going to do the tourist thing on my own tomorrow, if it’s not peeing with rain. Today felt like a summer day in southern Ontario: hot and humid and hazy. Tomorrow there is rain forecast. I did not pack summer clothing for this trip, so I have really been suffering. I got a sunburn on Friday that is now itching like crazy and today I did get some sunscreen just in case I’m caught in sunny weather again with no protection.
Blogging on my mom’s computer is frustrating so I’m going to wrap this up and tootle along.

PEI is beautiful and fun, if you’re not looking for too much excitement, that is! 😉 Enjoy!
Are you kidding me? This place is awesome! Charlottetown alone is fabulous if you’re an architecture nut like I am! And I love beaches & lighthouses!
So jealous of the seafood adventure you are having! Enjoy to the fullest.
