Settling In

I cannot believe how hectic the month has been.

I got back from the Koots last Monday and, even though I should have rested, I decided not to rest and do all kinds of stuff instead.  And since my dad drove me back here, he was in town all week visiting me, Jem & Shan, too.  Thursday he took me to Ikea where I got a few items of furniture I needed for my room and some cheap odds & ends.  I wound up getting this Expedit unit, which T helped me put together that evening.  I have it on it’s side so it holds my TV, digital cable box, and a few other things, and this morning, after sleeping in, I filled it with my books.  I hooked my TV up to our new Telus Optik system and now my room is really looking and feeling like a nice space.  I just need my desk & I’ll be set (it didn’t make the move from the Koots, but T will bring it with her when she makes a trip there during Spring Break next month).  In the  meantime, I’m using a couple of stacked Rubbermaid storage bins as a desk.

So much has happened in a short period of time…I’m exhausted and have a few things going on I can’t blog about, but I’m otherwise OK.  My trip home was extremely busy, but good and productive.  God, I do not miss the weather.

Juno is doing great!  She had a few rough days but seems to be settling in well with the new housemates.  She regularly cuddles T but isn’t too sure about R yet.  She has a lot more territory to roam around in now and I’m glad for that.

And the new housemate situation is going great.  I couldn’t be happier.
